And here are the high quality pictures! Soooooo where are the stories?.. I just cant find the time to write it all down.
So my last few days on t he bike were pretty though. Lot’s of aggressive hills and heat. The view made up for it; everchanging BC, beautiful land! Last day I drove with black bandages for grandma. She would have been very happy for me and following me from somewhere.
I spend a few days in Vancouver with Simon “Crazy” and Anne-Marie “Miauwwwww”
Adoring couple. Simon is planning on biking from Vancouver to Quebec next year and Anne Marie is a very active mountain biker/hiker etc. Everyone seems active around here. No wonder with all this beautiful scenic surroundings. I mannaged to see the Olympic oval in Vancouver. Too bad it isn’t permanent. It looks outstanding!
The last few days I spend my time close to Nelson. Former capital of BC and hippie town. Organic food, hair bandages and Volkswagens everywhere. I hiked up a nice peak and tomorrow I will tube down a river. For the rest did I take some rest and read some books. I feel energized and have a blast every single moment that I can enjoy those mountains. The family where I’m staying adopted me like there son. They are speed skaters ( a very rare breed around here) which creates bondage. Their twins daughters are active and athletic. I am fed with protein shakes and lots of fruits. AMAZING
The next days will be greyhound greyhound greyhound. Take the bus bus back over the roads that I have been cycling… That will be a strange feeling
That’s all folks!

Well.. Here I am… In the Rockies. Left Calgary two days ago. It was a very special time. I was able to join a summercamp and learn a lot about the way the see sports around here. I defently left Calgary with a few new idea to improve my trainer skills.
So on the bike again and into the Rockies. The first kilometers with a lot of headwind but after a while I passed stoney hill and there the fun started. The view is amazing and the highway is cruising hrough this big mountains. The elevation is ok and I come into Banff park. There it just got better and better. I am in wild territory here. Unfortunatly I can’t upload the pictures here but it is breathtaking. I end up in a hostel/camping in Field and went over the highest pass of my trip.
Today I went down to Golden and went over the famous roger-pass. I can’t get used to this view. This is so much fun. I finally end up in Revelstoke where I can get a 5 dollar pancake eat as much as you can breakfast. Let’s see if we can break a record tomorrow
Vancouver is coming close now.

Owh yes… Owh Yes…. OWH YEAH!
I have reached the holy ground. The speed skating oval of Calgary and I am making friends quick to borrow some skates somehow. I have to get on this ice VERY soon.
So I stayed an extra day in Mortlach. The wind was still very bad and I had time for some soulsearching and seeing the village. It has very kind people and for sure an amazing wildlife photo gallery and sweet shop.
Then I picked up biking again and raced through the land. Swift Current, Gull Lake they all passed. Finally a nice back wind picks up and I make it to Piapot. A little ghost town where I can watch the Calgary stampede and stay in someones garden. At night I start to realise where the nice wind came from and I had terrible thunderstorms around my tent. But I all held.
Next day I am aiming for Brooks. Got a flat tire in Medicine hat and some more delay fixing bike and taking to people. I make it to Tillebrooks where a nice campground waits for me in the forest.
Yesterday I was all prepared to go and up I went for Calgary. The wind was reasonable an I sprint to the city. There bad weather turns up and I have a hard time cycling through the city. Nobody cares for bikers here. I try to use the bike paths, but nobody knows where they go
I had a nice relaxing day today where I spend some time in the city and at the Oval.
I will stay here for a while and enjoy life here.

Yes yes…. I’m blow away… Today was terrible. I had about 35-40 km/u wind against me and wind guts till 70 km/u. Tomorrow they will predict the same so I might be stuck here. It is probebly part of the journey I’m going through so I take my chance to see this little town here.
The worst part was that I came till Parkbeg but I had to go back again
Well These days makes the other ones shine!

There I am in Moose jaw in the office of the campground. Wet, because it will rain all day. Sleepy because I have been on the internet for too long and a bit down because of the leaking tent, wet stuff and the weather prediction. Well We all need days like these to appreciate the good ones. The weather report is nicer to me in the next days. The more I get out of here.. the better it will get. Staying here makes no sense cause it will only be worse.. So the machine’s gotta go!

The internet places have been limited and here it is very bad. The worst internet ever.. But I will give you some quick updates anyway:
Wawa – Marathon
Superb ride. Spectacular view and a great day to bike. Lot’s of going up and down. Slept at relatives place
Marathon – Nipigon
Again an amazing drive. This piece of nature is full of wildlife. Sunshine all ride and I eat and sleep close to a greek restaurant
Nipigon – Kashabowie
I passed Thunderbay and the weather turned immediately hot. From hills to the bush. Lot’s of black flies and musquitos in the night. A storm came over but my tent hold on.
Kashabowie – Alberton
This is a day where I push it as much as possible to get as close to the USA border as I can. I end up in a Camper behind friendly Neuwfies.
Alberton – Vita
I cross the border twice. I’m being fingerprinted, put on film and questioned but I can get through in the rain. But I finally have some wind in the back and I make it to Vita.
Vita – Holland
I had to go to this small village called Holland. A whole day of wind in the face and a storm in the tent the night before. I was pretty exhausted but stayed on a nice campground close to the horsetrack.
Holland – Redvers
I wanted to get into Saskatchewan and I did. A warm and sunburning day. I had dinner in a restaurant and made friends at the campground. Everybody is working in oil. And I’m starting to get into the praires now.
Redvers – Moose Jaw
A day of tailwind and so I have to get moving. I move a lot before finally some rain comes and changes the direction of the wind. I continue to peddle and make it all the way to Moose jaw.
Plan is to be in Calgary in 4 days. I’m very sunburned but the legs are going strong. I meet nice people everywhere and I enjoy my trip.
Till the next time!

Dear followers,
I’m finnaly in a place where I can give you guys an update about my days.
First day: Guelph – Tobermory 250 km
I feel great and take off to the wilderness. My bike is nice but the roads and the head wind are messing with me. It’s “Canadian” flat here (with means going up and down with a little big hill ones in a while) and there is quite some traffic. Later in the day I decide to take the ferry to the island and profit from the time there. The last kilomters where very heavy but I made it just in time for the ferry. A cannaloni and 2 hour ferry ride later I arrive on Manitoulan Island in the dark. Nice people pick me up and drive me to there cottage. I can stay there.
Day 2: ? to Blind river 170 km
I have the wind in my face WHOLE day. Tearing me into pieces. But the terrain made up for it .. It was amazing! I passed lots of native american reserves. At the end of the day I was sooo tired and there wasn’t a good place to sleep until suddenly out of nowhere a A great cheap campingground appeared. The people were very nice at the lake lauzon resort and I meet up with German girls travveling by car.
Day 3: Blind river: Sault Ste Marie 165 km
A shorter day today… but the wind again and again. In my face. And it was hot… very hot. In Sault I meet up with the German girls in the center again. We watched the fireworks together and get a place in a student house. Great
Day 4 (today) Sault Ste Marie – Wawa 230 km
A long drive but very nice around here. I start up with some nice tailwind but get into heavy fog and mist after 125 kilometer. It is a little dangerous with all the trucks driving around so I take a little break. I continue and saw my first small bear. It was about the size of a german shepherd and it was just amazing to see. The landscape is just magnificent! Lots of pine trees and hills lakes and trails. Now I am in Wawa and will try to reach Marathon tomorrow.
That’s all folks,
Antoine
